Queensland Pathways State College (QPSC) is a specific purpose state school that specialises in supporting young people aged 15 to 18 (minimum grade 10), that have significant barriers to attending mainstream education.  The college opened in 2018 and has 9 locations including:  Bracken Ridge, Bundamba, Coorparoo, Goodna, Moreton Bay, Mt Gravatt, Mount Isa, Toowoomba and Townsville.

Where footprints walk today, where they will walk tomorrow and where they have walked for thousands of years, we stand on lands that are and always will be, First Nations lands. Queensland Pathways State College acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of these lands: the Turrbal and Jagera peoples, the Kabi Kabi and Jinibara peoples, the Yuggera and Ugarapul peoples, the Kalkadoon people, the Giabal and Jarowair peoples, the Western Wakka Wakka people and the Wulgurukaba and Bindal peoples.

We pay deep respect to Elders past and present and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who share their wisdom and strength with us. We honour the rivers that have carried stories, the trees that have witnessed generations and the soil that holds the memory of countless footsteps.

As we learn and grow together, we commit to walking gently on this Country, listening to its stories and ensuring that the connection between people and land continues for generations to come.

Our vision, “By inspiring belief, fostering respect and building unity, Queensland Pathways State College students achieve success” and our motto, “Every student succeeding” embeds our college valuesCulture and diversity are celebrated and we ensure each and every student is supported as an individual and has voice in their pathway.

Our strength-based approach to education, ensures all our students have their pathway to a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) individually mapped and their transition pathway at the completion of their program will include further education in TAFE or university or an employment pathway.

We offer a 12-month senior transitions program at QPSCOur curriculum focus is literacy, numeracy, workplace skills and wellbeingTo complement our curriculum, students are encouraged to participate in additional learning through Vet in School options (VETiS), work experience, university taster courses and school-based apprenticeships and traineeships.

Our holistic student support services help students identify their perceived barriers to engaging in education and connects them to the right supports to ensure their wellbeing is strengthened and they have the confidence to be successful.

Parents and carers are encouraged to walk alongside their student’s journey and play an active role in their learning and engagement. Student success will be celebrated with them and they are invited in to be part of end of semester celebrations and student-led conferences.

Welcome to Queensland Pathways State College, we look forward to you joining our community.
