QPSC Online offers certificate II qualifications to students in years 10 – 12 and we have worked with students in a variety of metropolitan, rural and remote settings including Tagai and Northern Peninsula.
Across the qualifications, students build foundational literacy, numeracy, digital and workplace skills that directly support engagement and success in senior schooling. The courses assist in developing achievable pathways to employment, apprenticeships and further training, which improves motivation and helps maintain connection to learning.
Because delivery is fully online and flexible, remote and low-ICSEA schools can offer meaningful accredited options that might otherwise be unavailable.
A summary of course logistics is provided below to assist with decision making:
- Course duration is one semester
- An allocation of one line is required (3 lessons)
- Two lessons are delivered online by your QPSC Trainer each week
- Students require a computer, access to the internet and a microphone equipped headset
- A supervising teacher is allocated to support and monitor student engagement
- Classes are limited to 18 students and can be a combination of students from multiple schools
- An administration fee of $25 applies (paid by the school, not students)
QPSC Outreach offers a program where schools with an established relationship deliver our qualifications under our RTO. Once appropriately accredited staff are familiar with delivery and assessment, we can support your school to independently deliver our certificate courses on site. Please contact us on 07 3421 0666 to find out more about this option.
